Lethbridge, AB – The SUBWAY Pronghorn Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 26, 2014.

Male Athlete of the Week: 

Ryan Thornley – Men’s Swim
 
In the last Canada West meet of his career, fifth-year swimmer Ryan Thornley led the way for the Pronghorns, claiming the team’s lone individual medal and also claimed a medal as a member of the relay team.

‘Horns captain Thornley opened the meet with a bronze medal in the 50 metre fly and followed up that anchoring a bronze medal finish for the ‘Horns 400 metre free relay team.

Thornley narrowly missed a second individual medal in the 50 metre freestyle but finished fourth by just two one-hundredths of a second. He was also sixth in the 100 metre freestyle and anchored the 400 medley relay that finished fourth.

Thornley will lead a contingent of 11 Pronghorns at the CIS Championships during the third week of February in Toronto.
