Female Athlete of the Week:
Nicole Ronsky – Women’s Rugby
Playing in her team’s final conference game of the season, third-year winger Nicole Ronsky continued to display her tough, aggressive and speedy play in the ‘Horns 32-14 loss to the Calgary Dinos.
The 2013 Canada West all-star, Ronsky was solid defensively, stopping Dinos runs with precision tackling; offensively Ronsky was a constant threat with the ball in her hands, including breaking away from the Dinos on a long run to score the ‘Horns first try of the game.
The Calgary, AB native finished the conference schedule second on the ‘Horns is tries with two and tied for 11th in conference points with 10.
