Male Athlete of the Week:
Brandon Clowes – Men’s Hockey
Opening the New Year on the road, NCAA transfer Brandon Clowes led the way as the Lethbridge Pronghorns earned a weekend split in Saskatoon versus the Saskatchewan Huskies.
While the Huskies earned a 5-3 come from behind victory Saturday night, Clowes recorded an assist in the loss.
The Calgary, AB native scored once in each period the next night to record his first CIS hat trick and lift the ‘Horns to their first road win of the season and a series spilt with the Huskies.
Through 20 games, the former University of Alabama-Huntsville Charger leads the ‘Horns in goals with eight and is second in points with 12.
Clowes was also named the Canada West second star of the week.
