Male Athlete of the Week:
Brandon Brine – Men’s Basketball
After watching the rest of the conference kick off the conference schedule two weeks ago, fifth-year forward Brandon Brine kicked off his final year in a Pronghorn uniform in style this past weekend, combining for 31 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and seven blocks to lead the Lethbridge Pronghorns to a season opening two game sweep of the Brandon Bobcats.
Friday night, the Adelaide, Australia native recorded a double-double to help the Pronghorns to a come from behind 85-75 win. His 14 points was a team high and he also grabbed 13 boards in the win.
The next night, Brine poured in 17 points to go along with four assists and five blocks as the Pronghorns completed the weekend sweep with a convincing 94-70 win.

Female Athlete of the Week:
Katie Keith – Women’s Basketball
Despite her team losing both games this past weekend, first-year guard Katie Keith made quite the Canada West debut, combining for 21 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in two games versus the Brandon Bobcats.
In her first career conference game Friday night, Keith scored 11 points on 4 of 9 shooting, while also recording five rebounds, four assists and five steals in the ‘Horns 83-63 loss.
Saturday night, the Lethbridge product picked up another 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the Pronghorns 82-54 loss to the Bobcats.
