Male Athlete of the Week:
Peter Millman – Men’s Track
Reigning CIS Shot Put Champion Peter Millman continued his exceptional start to the track season, picking up two more gold medals this past weekend at the Bison Classic in Winnipeg.
Millman led the way as the Pronghorn throwers swept the podium in the shot put event and his throw of 17.34 metres was a new personal best. The throw also vaulted him to the top of the Canada West and CIS rankings. The Truro, Nova Scotia native followed up that performance, winning the weight throw event with a toss of 18.01 metres.

Female Athlete of the Week:
Sandra Latrace – Women’s Track
Newcomer Sandra Latrace continues to make waves in the Canada West track scene, earning three more medals, as she builds towards her first Canada West Championship meet.
Latrace won the long jump event for the second consecutive meet. Her jump of 5.79 won the event by only one centimeter. She also added a bronze medal in the 60-metre sprint and competed in the triple jump for the first time. She placed second in the triple jump with a jump of 11.51 metres but was the top university athlete in the event.
