Male Athlete of the Week:

Peter Millman – Men’s Track

 

Fifth-year thrower Peter Millman kicked off his final year as a Pronghorn in style this past weekend, winning both of his events at the Golden Bear Open in Edmonton.

 

Friday night, Millman led the way as the Pronghorn men’s track team opened the 2017 indoor track season sweeping the podium in the weight throw. The Truro, Nova Scotia product won the event with a furthest throw of 17.76 metres.

 

The two-time reigning CIS champion continued his dominance in the shot put the following day, winning the event in Edmonton by nearly three metres with a furthest toss of 17.44 metres.

 

Millman and the rest of the track team are off this coming weekend and the Canada West Championships will be hosted by the University of Regina February 24th and 25th.
