Lethbridge, AB – The Two Guys and a Pizza Place Pronghorn Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 13, 2019. 
 
Female Athlete of the Week:
 
Logan Moncks – Women’s Basketball
 
Helping her team to return to the win column, Logan Moncks combined for 31 points and 17 rebounds in the Lethbridge Pronghorn women’s basketball team’s sweep of the Mount Royal Cougars this past week.
 
In the first game of the home-and-home series, the former ACAC player of the year had her most productive game scoring wise in a Pronghorn jersey, pouring in a Pronghorn career high 21 points in the Pronghorns convincing 83-59 win in Calgary.
 
In the series finale Saturday night in Lethbridge, Moncks recorded a double-double to help the Pronghorns complete the sweep with an 89-61 win. Moncks recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes of floor time.
 
On the season, Moncks is averaging 7.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.
 
The Pronghorn women’s basketball team will be back on the 1st Choice Savings Centre floor this weekend, hosting the Victoria Vikes.
 
 
Male Athlete of the Week:
Kyle Peterson – Men’s Basketball
 
 
Fourth-year guard Kyle Peterson combined for 30 points, 10 assists and 7 steals as the Lethbridge Pronghorn men’s basketball team split a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars.
 
In the series opener in Calgary on Thursday, Peterson recorded six points, four assists, three steals and two rebounds in the Pronghorns convincing 108-69 win over the Cougars, the Pronghorns third win in a row.
 
On home court Saturday night, Peterson led all Pronghorn scorers with 24 points on an efficient 10 of 15 shooting in the Pronghorns last minute 104-103 loss to the Cougars. He also recorded six assists and four steals in the loss.
 
This season, Peterson is averaging 11.1 points and 6.1 assists per game, while averaging the second most minutes per game on the Pronghorns, playing 26.4 minutes a night.
 
Peterson and the Pronghorns will be at home this coming weekend, hosting the Victoria Vikes Friday and Saturday night.
