Lethbridge, AB – The Two Guys and a Pizza Place Pronghorn Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 2, 2022
Male Athlete of the Week:
Alasdair Coyle – Men’s Soccer
Wrapping up the road portion of the Canada West schedule this past weekend, fourth-year midfielder Alasdair Coyle was a leader by example in two hard fought games.
The Langley, BC product’s work on and off the ball was exceptional. His delivery on set pieces and his ability to take on defenders in the middle of the pitch helped control the two games in Edmonton.
On the season, Coyle has started 10 of the 11 games and is tied for second in team scoring with a goal and two assists.
The Pronghorn men’s soccer team has a bye this coming weekend, before closing out the Canada West regular season with three straight home games.
Female Athlete of the Week:
Alexis Bradford – Women’s Soccer
First-year Pronghorn Alexis Bradford has stepped into the midfield in her first season and was a consistent force in the mid of the field this past weekend.
On the road, the Abbotsford, BC product was willing to play different positions in the midfield for the team’s benefit. Over the course of two games in Saskatchewan, Bradford battled for every ball and brought energy to the Pronghorns.
In her freshman season, Bradford has played in all 10 games, starting nine, while picking up one assist and four shot attempts.
The Pronghorn women’s soccer team is on the road again this weekend, traveling to Edmonton to face the Alberta Pandas and MacEwan Griffins.
