Lethbridge, AB – The SUBWAY Pronghorn Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 11, 2013
 
Female Athlete of the Week:
Kim Veldman – Women’s Basketball
 
Fourth-year post Kim Veldman continued her strong early season play, leading the ‘Horns to a weekend split and was named the SUBWAY female athlete of the week for the second consecutive week.
 
In the ‘Horns close 59-54 win over the Manitoba Bisons Friday night, Veldman led all scorers with 23 points on 10 of 15 shooting from the field and recorded her second consecutive double-double with 11 rebounds. The next night in the ‘Horns loss, Veldman scored another 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
 
Through four games this season, Veldman sits fourth in conference scoring with 18 points per game and is second in rebounding, averaging 10.3 boards a night.
