Female Athlete of the Week:
Kim Veldman – Women’s Basketball
 
Despite only getting a weekend split at home this past weekend, fourth-year forward Kim Veldman continued her stellar play for the Lethbridge Pronghorn women’s basketball team, recording consecutive double-doubles.
 
The conference’s second leading scorer and rebounder, opened the weekend leading all scorers in the ‘Horns 77-48 win over the UBC Okanagan Heat with 24 points, while adding 12 rebounds.
 
While the ‘Horns dropped a tough 66-64 decision to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Saturday night, Veldman was again exceptional for the her team, scoring 21 points and adding another 12 rebounds.
 
In seven games this season, Veldman has recorded five double-doubles and is averaging 20.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.
