Female Athlete of the Week:
Crystal Patterson – Women’s Hockey
 
Despite being on the wrong end of a goaltenders dual this past weekend, ‘Horns netminder Crystal Patterson stopped 75 of the 79 shots she faced in the Pronghorns two losses to the conference leading UBC Thunderbirds.
 
A fourth-year management student, Patterson turned aside 32 shots Friday night in the ‘Horns 2-1 shootout loss and then made 43 saves the next night in a 3-0 loss, in a game where the ‘Horns were outshot 46-23.
 
The former Canada West first team all-star has a 3-7 record through the first half of the season and sports a 2.34 goals-against-average and a 0.925 save percentage.
