Horns Fail to Clinch a Playoff spot with loss in Brandon

BRANDON, MB - Playoff implications were on the line for both the Brandon Bobcats and Lethbridge Pronghorns Friady night in Brandon, but it would be the Bobcats who would prevail 92-87.
The 'Cats were led by Ali-Mounir Benabdelhak's game-high 24 points and team high nine rebounds. Rookie point guard Ilarion Bonhomme continued his break-out season, finishing with 21 points and nine assists. Fifth-year forward Kyle Vince finished with 16 points.
Daryl Cooper had a team-high 22 points for the 'Horns, while Dominyc Coward and Derek Waldner both finished with double-doubles, both picking up 18 point and 12 rebounds.
The loss snaps the Pronghorns four-game winning streak. They now sit with a record of 9-8 on the season, but can still secure a return to the post-season with a win tomorrow night.. The win improves the Bobcats record to 6-11 and snaps a five game skid. The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Brandon in what will be the final basketball game played in the BU Gymnasium.
