Box Score

Kelowna - Despite late game efforts by the likes of Landry Ndayitwayeko (4th year, Windsor, Ontario) and Anwar Faza (3rd year, Ottawa, Ontario), the Heat couldn’t keep up to a scorching hot Lethbridge team, ultimately falling to the Pronghorns 81-74 in Canada West action at UBC Okanagan Saturday night.

The Pronghorns’ Logan Reiter was an uncontrollable monster all game long, finishing with a game-high 29 points on 10-14 shooting, including 7-8 from beyond the arc. Derek Waldmer poured in a double-double, recording 16 points and 16 rebounds for the night. Julian Spear Chief-Morris was third in scoring for the Horns with 11 points while also grabbing three boards.

Yassine Ghomari (4th year, Vancouver, BC) led the Heat with 17 points and dished out a game-high 6 assists. Landry was third in scoring for the Heat, finishing with 9 points, including 3-4 from three-point range, and contributing 2 assists.

The Heat are now 2-11 for the season, while the Horns improve to 6-6 after capturing their first road win of the season. Next weekend the Heat will travel to Saskatchewan to play the Huskies on Friday night, and the Horns will be back at home versus the Trinity Western Spartans.
