th year, Vernon, BC) late game efforts bury the visiting Pronghorns in Canada West action at the UBC Okanagan gymnasium Saturday night as the Heat win 66-58. For her efforts, Kaneda was named Player of the Game.
In addition to Kaneda’s 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, Sarah Allison also posted 15 points and was pivotal for the offense tonight, setting her teammates up to the tune of a game-high tying 4 assists. Emily Kanester (2

st year, Coquitlam, BC) scored 10 points apiece, and recorded five and four rebounds, respectively.
The Pronghorns’ Kim Veldman proved troublesome for the Heat all game long down in the post, and put up a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort. Ali Cameron tied Veldman’s game-high 16 points while grabbing 3 rebounds and recording 3 steals. Starting guard Katlyn Olseon went scoreless for the night but grabbed 11 boards and dished out 4 assists.
UBC Okanagan moves to 5-8 for the season while the Pronghorns slip to 5-7. The Heat will travel to the Physical Activity Complex in Saskatchewan to play to the Huskies next Friday with tip-off set for 4:15 pm. PSTLethbridge will return home to play the Trinity Western Spartans Friday at 6:00 pm. MT.
