After an even opening quarter that left the 'Horns with a 14-13 lead, the offenses grinded to a halt for the early part of the second quarter with both teams plagued by turnover issues. Turnover troubles continued to plague the 'Horns in the second half, turning the ball over another 12 times to finish with 27 turnovers on the night. Those giveaways and second chance opportunities fuelled the WolfPack's second half comeback. The WolfPack grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, including 10 in the second half. The combination of turnovers and offensive rebounds led to the WolfPack taking 80 shots to the 'Horns 54 looks.

While the WolfPack did not gain the lead in the third frame, they clawed the 'Horns lead back to five and then exploded for 31 points in the fourth, taking their first lead since the opening moments with just over six minutes remaining.

Despite the difficult second half for the 'Horns, they continued to battle until the end, cutting a pair of eight-point deficits back and tying the score with just 15 seconds remaining.  Malate hit two free throws on the next possession to put the WolfPack up for good, as Cameron's last second shot  hit the back rim and was rebounded by the WolfPack to seal the win.

The 'Horns will remain at home next weekend in the final action before the semester break, hosting the University of Regina. Thompson Rivers will return home to host the Mount Royal Cougars for a pair of games.
