Lethbridge – A week after facing the top team in the conference, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's basketball team will get another stiff test this weekend traveling to Saskatoon to face the CIS eighth ranked Saskatchewan Huskies.

Saskatoon has not be friendly to the 'Horns in recent years, having lost their previous seven visits and their last win in Saskatoon came January 6, 2007.

Hosting the CIS third ranked Alberta Golden Bears last weekend, the 'Horns split the series after an impressive win on Friday night and at 10-4 trail the Huskies (11-3) by one game for second in the division.

This weekend's match up pits the top two offensive teams against one another and a high scoring, high tempo series should be expected. The 'Horns continue to lead the conference averaging 86 points per game, while the Huskies are nipping at their heels, scoring 85.8 points per game.

The 'Horns also lead the conference in free throw percentage (75.8%), assists (20.3), steals (9.6), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2) and defensive rebounds per game (30).

At the other end, statistically the Huskies have the advantage, holding the eighth ranked defensive unit, allowing 75.9 points per game. The 'Horns are ranked 15th defensively surrendering 82.9 points per game.

Coming off a 32-point performance last Friday night, Brandon Brine continues to lead the 'Horns offensive attack and moved up to sixth on the conference scoring list, averaging 17.5 points per game. Logan Reiter and Morgan Duce are both in the top 15 in conference scoring, averaging 16.4 points and 14.7 points respectively.

For the Huskies, reigning Canada West MVP Stephon Lamar is having another stellar season for the Huskies and is second in conference scoring, averaging 19.5 points per, while Dadrian Collins is putting up 16 points per game and fourth-year guard Ben Baker is averaging a double-double for the Huskies with 11.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per night. Baker's 10.5 rebounds leads the conference.

Tip-off for both Friday and Saturday night's games are set for 8:00pm at the PAC in Saskatoon and both games will be streamed live at http://canadawest.tv.
