Lethbridge – For the second week in a row, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team will face a nationally ranked opponent, as the 'Horns travel to Saskatoon to take on the fifth ranked Saskatchewan Huskies.

The 'Horns were swept by the third ranked Alberta Pandas last weekend at home, while the Huskies split their series with the Calgary Dinos on the road last weekend.

Sitting at 5-9 the Pronghorns trail the Calgary Dinos by six games for the final playoff spot and will have to go on a run to have a chance to qualify for the post-season.

Heading into the final four weeks of the conference schedule, the Huskies are in a dog fight for the top spot in the Prairie Division and enter the weekend in a three-way tie for first at 12-2 with the Alberta Pandas and Regina Cougars.

Statistically the Huskies are solid at both ends of the court, ranked second in the conference offensively (72.3 ppg) and third defensively (58.2 ppg), while the 'Horns are still among the lowest scoring teams in the conference and are ranked 15th (57 ppg). At the other end, the 'Horns are ranked ninth defensively (64.0 ppg).

This weekend sets up an intriguing match-up between two of the three players in the conference who average double-doubles. 'Horns Kim Veldman is ranked second in scoring and third in rebounding, while Huskie third-year post Dalyce Emmerson is ranked third in points and is the top rebounder in the conference. Veldman is averaging 20 points and 10.2 rebounds per game and Emmerson is scoring 19.6 points to go along with 12.4 rebounds a game.

Tip-off for both Friday and Saturday night's games are set for 6:15 pm at the PAC in Saskatoon and both games will be streamed live at http://canadawest.tv.
