'Horns sweep Bobcats to kick start Canada West season

Box Score BRANDON-The visiting Lethbridge Pronghorns earned their second straight victory against the Brandon Bobcats, with an 84-66 win Saturday night.
 
Both teams put up a strong effort throughout the first half, entering the half-time break tied at 39-39. The Pronghorns outpaced the 'Cats in the second half, outscoring them 45 to 27.
 
Brandon slashed the Lethbridge lead to as few as three points, but couldn't maintain the momentum.
 
Rob Olsen fueled the Pronghorn attack netting 23 points and four steals. Brandon Brine added 19 points and nine rebounds, and Jared Baker earned a double-double with 15 boards and 10 points.
 
D.J. Jordan led the way for the Bobcats netting 19 points, four boards and one steal. Earl Thompson Jr. added 13 points, eight boards, and eight steals.
 
The Bobcats sit at 0-2 and the Pronghorns are 2-0. 
 
Next weekend, the 'Cats will travel to Calgary to face the Dinos and the 'Horns will face off at home against the Winnipeg Wesmen.
