Lethbridge – The Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team heads out on the road looking to rebound from a disappointing weekend at home last week, travelling to Langley, BC to face the Trinity Western Spartans.
The 'Horns and Spartans will clash Friday and Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre, tip-off is set for 6:00pm and 5:00pm PST respectively. Both games will also be webcast on

After a near perfect opening weekend on the road, the Pronghorns (2-2) dropped a pair of games to a tough Winnipeg Wesmen squad, falling 77-62 and 69-49. The 'Horns swept the Brandon Bobcats in Brandon during the opening weekend of conference play.
Through four conference games, the 'Horns are ranked 10
th in Canada West offensively scoring at a 64.2 points per game clip and sit 7
th defensively, allowing 65.4 points per game.
Second-year forward Mariah Miller continued her strong play this season, recording her second double-double of the season and leads the 'Horns in both scoring and rebound average. Miller is currently averaging 15.8 points and 9.5 rebounds. Canada West second team All-Star Kim Veldman sits second in both categories with 14.8 points and 8.3 rebounds.
For the Spartans (0-4), the 2014-15 season has gotten off to a shaky start. The Spartans opened the season with two losses at the Manitoba Bisons and last weekend were handled easily at home by the CIS third ranked Alberta Pandas. The Pandas beat the Spartans 89-55 and 88-65.
Entering the third weekend of the conference schedule the Spartans are ranked 13
th offensively (60.8 ppg) and 15
th defensively (73.5 ppg).
Individually, Jesse Brown is the lone Spartan to average double digits in points with 11.8 per game, while Kayla Gordon is averaging 9 points per contest.
The 'Horns will return to home court next weekend, hosting the Regina Cougars in their final home games of the first semester.
