Lethbridge – Coming off a season opening sweep of the MacEwan Griffins, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's basketball team faces the Mount Royal Cougars in a home-and-home series.
The two game set kicks-off Thursday night in Calgary with the return affair going Saturday night in Lethbridge at the 1
st Choice Savings Centre. Tip-off Thursday is scheduled for 8:00pm and Saturday's game time is set for 7:00pm. Both games will be streamed live on

The 'Horns and Cougars have only faced each other twice before in conference action with the 'Horns winning both contests. During the 2012-13 season, the 'Horns beat the Cougars 93-73 and in the 2013-14 season, it took overtime but the 'Horns prevailed 84-82 in Calgary.
Newcomer Elliot Sentance made a good first impression on Pronghorn fans, scoring 22 and 24 points respectively in the 'Horns two wins over the Griffins. Point guard Dejon Burdeaux also had a strong opening weekend, combining for 36 points, 11 steals, 8 assists and 8 rebounds in the two games.
This weekend will mark the Cougars first two conference games of the season, after having a bye during the opening weekend of Canada West action. Last year, the Cougars finished with a 10-10 record in the old Explorer Division and missed the playoffs.
For last season, the Cougars return leading scorer and rebounder Brett Layton, who led Canada West in rebounds per game last season, averaging 11.2 points per game. He led the Cougars with 17 points per game and had 14 double-doubles in 20 games a year ago.
The 'Horns will head out on the road next weekend, traveling to Winnipeg to face the Winnipeg Wesman. Following week, the 'Horns will host their final home game of the first semester, hosting the Calgary Dinos Thursday, November 24
th.
