LETHBRIDGE – Coming off a bye weekend, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team will attempt to put an end to a losing skid versus southern Alberta rival Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series.

The two game set tips off Thursday night at the 1st Choice Savings Centre in Lethbridge at 6:00pm. The back half of the home-and-home will go Saturday night in Calgary. Both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv.

Thursday night's game will also be youth night, where anyone 17 or under will get free admission to the game.

A year ago the Dinos swept the Pronghorns, winning 66-57 in Lethbridge and 72-47 at home.

A Look at the Teams:

The start of 2018 has been a rocky one for the Pronghorns (10-6), entering the final two weeks of the conference schedule on a four game losing streak, but with one win or one Fraser Valley loss, the Pronghorns will clinch a playoff spot.

Through 16 games this season, the Pronghorns hold the sixth best offence in the conference, averaging 72.5 points per game. The Pronghorns have the third best three-point percentage 33.4% and are also ranked third in steals, swiping the ball 10 times a game.

Defensively, the Pronghorns are ranked 10th, allowing 69.1 points against.

The Dinos (11-5) come into the two game series riding a three game winning streak, having swept the UBCO Heat last weekend. This season the Dinos have a signature win on their resume, being one of only two teams to beat the U SPORTS seventh ranked Saskatchewan Huskies.

Statistically, the Dinos are ranked third defensively (57.8 ppg) and fourth offensively (72.9 ppg). The Dinos are also third in rebounding with 43.1 rebounds per game and second in steals with 11.8 steals per game.

Players to Watch:

Fifth-year guard Zoe Dahl leads the team in scoring with 12.6 points per game, while Kacie Bosch sits second with 12.1 points per game.

Freshman Amy Mazutinec has had a solid rookie season thus far, averaging 8.3 points per game and has recorded three double-doubles this season.

For the Dinos, Brianna Ghali and Shannon Hatch have been key to the Dinos success this season. Ghali averages 15.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, while Hatch has averaged 11 points and 6.8 rebounds
