Lethbridge – Following the best start in the program's history, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team heads out on the road to kick-off 2018 in Winnipeg versus the Manitoba Bisons.

Tip-off is slated for 6:00 PM and 5:00 PM Central Time Friday and Saturday respectively. All the action can be caught on www.canadawest.tv.

The Pronghorns and Bisons didn't face each other last season, but during the 2015-16 season, the two teams split the two game set in Lethbridge with the Pronghorns winning the first night 76-66. The Bisons took game two 76-65.

A Look at the Teams

Sitting at 10-2, the Pronghorns are only four wins away from tying the program's single season mark for wins in a season. The program has reach 14 wins four times: 1989-90, 1990-91, 1992-93 and 1993-94.

Through the first semester of Canada West action, the Pronghorns hold the third ranked offense, scoring 75 points per game. Defensively, the Pronghorns are ranked eighth, allowing 66.3 points.

The Pronghorns also hold the third best shooting percentage from behind the arc, at 35.1%.

Manitoba (6-6) were a streaky team during the first semester, putting together two separate three-game win streaks but also lost five straight conference games to start the season.

Statistically, the Bisons hold the ninth ranked offence (68.2 ppg) and the 11th ranked defence (68.9 ppg).
