A look at the teams
The Pronghorns (5-5) return to conference play looking to snap a two-game losing streak but face a stiff test in the Saskatchewan Huskies.
Through the first half of the season, the Pronghorns sits 10
th in Canada West offence, averaging 68.6 points for per game, but are the fifth best defensive team in the conference allowing 64.8 points against per game.
The Huskies (10-2) begin the second semester of Canada West play as the top team in Canada West and are riding a six-game winning streak. Both of the Huskies conference losses this season have come on the road and they are a perfect 6-0 at home.
Statistically, the Huskies are the top defensive team in Canada West, only allowing 51.8 points against per game. Saskatchewan is also the second best offensive team in the conference scoring 78.8 points per game.
The Huskies are also the top team in Canada West in rebounding margin (17.3), field goal percentage (34.1%) and three pointers made per game (8.4).
Players to watch
Through the first 10 games, Kacie Bosch and Danielle Fritzke lead the Pronghorns offensively, averaging 12.5 points and 10.1 points per game respectively. Forward Katie Keith leads the Pronghorns in rebounding with 9.4 boards per game to go alone with 8.9 points.
For the Huskies, Sabine Dukate and Summer Masikewich lead the way offensively. Dukate averages 14.8 points per game, while Maskiewich chips in with 12.8 points per game and leads the Huskies in rebounding with 8.6 per game.
