LETBRIDGE – After opening 2019 portion of the Canada West schedule versus the top team in Canada West, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team looks to return to the win column this weekend, facing the Mount Royal Cougars in a home-and-home series.
The Pronghorns will take on the Cougars in Calgary Thursday night before return home to host the Cougars Saturday night at the 1
st Choice Savings Centre. Tip-offs are scheduled for Friday in Calgary at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday night in Lethbridge at 5:00 p.m.

A look at the teams
In Saskatoon last weekend, the Pronghorns (5-7) were swept by the first place Saskatchewan Huskies and saw their losing streak hit four games. The Pronghorns lost their final games in 2018 being swept Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series.
Statistically, the Pronghorns sit 11
th in team offense, averaging 66.8 points per game, and eighth in team defense, allowing 68.1 points against per game.
The Cougars (2-12) enter this week's action stuck in a six game losing streak and are in second last place in Canada West. Last week, the Cougars were swept by cross town rival Calgary Dinos.
Offensively, the Cougars are ranked one spot behind the Pronghorns in 12
th scoring at a clip of 65.4 points per game but are ranked last defensively, allowing nearly 85 points against a night.
Players to watch
Kacie Bosch continues to lead the Pronghorns attack, averaging 12.8 points per game, while fifth-year forward Danielle Fritzke sits second with 10.7 points per game.
Katie Keith leads the Pronghorns in rebounding and is tied for ninth in Canada West rebounds per game with 8.5. She is also averaging 8.3 points per game.
For the Cougars, first-year guard Maddison Hooper is the lone Cougar to average double digits in points this season, averaging 11.9 points per game.
Charity Marlatt and Sydney Tabin sits second and third on the Cougars scoring list, averaging 9.2 and 8.5 points respectively.
