LETHBRIDGE – Returning home after a successful trip to Calgary, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's basketball team will close out the first semester of Canada West action this weekend, hosting the MacEwan Griffins.

st Choice Savings Centre Friday night at 6:00 pm and Saturday night at 5:00 pm. Both games will also be streamed live on
www.canadawest.tv.
Proof of vaccination with government issued ID is required to attend Pronghorn home games.
The Pronghorns historically are 7-1 versus the Griffins, including sweeping the season series in Edmonton during the 2019-20 season.
A look at the teams
The Pronghorns (2-4) put a stop to a four game losing streak last weekend sweeping the Mount Royal in Calgary. Friday night, the Pronghorns came from behind to win 65-56 before winning in convincing fashion, 74-48 on Saturday.
Through three conference weekends, the Pronghorns sit seventh in Canada West defensively, allowing 65.7 points per game and have held their opponents under 60 points in three straight games. Offensively, the Pronghorns are averaging 60.2 points per game.
Fourth-year guard Jessica Haenni leads the Pronghorns in scoring 13.5 points per game, while Haily Weaver is coming off her best games as a Pronghorn and was named the Canada West player of the Week after her performance last weekend. Weaver had consecutive double-doubles versus the Cougars and scored a season best 24 points last Saturday.
Coming off a bye week, the Griffins (1-4) have had an up and down start to the season. After being swept by the Mount Royal Cougars to open the season, the Griffins split a home weekend with national ranked Calgary Dinos.
Statistically the Griffins are ranked 13
th in both points scored and allowed per games, scoring 61.8 points, while allowing 71.5 points a night.
More than half of the Griffins offensive output is coming from three players with Noelle Kilbreath leading the way with 13.3 points per game. Shannon Majeau and Mackenzie Farmer are averaging 11.5 and 11.3 points per game respectively.
