In a thrilling head-to-head matchup between the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and the Mount Royal University Cougars. The game unfolded with standout performances from key players, intense runs and a nail-biting finish that ultimately saw the Cougars emerge victorious with an 87-84 win. The Cougars' Keivonte Watts led the scoring with 33 points, while Kymani Pollard scored 20 for the Pronghorns.

BREAKDOWN
- The first quarter of the head-to-head matchup featuring the host, University of Lethrbidge Pronghorns and the Mount Royal University Cougars saw the Horns and Cougars trade the lead. Jack-Henry Fox-Grey earned two three-point makes from beyond the arc, while Keivonte Watts earned one from beyond the arc on the opposite end. As time expired in the first quarter, neither team refused to budge and the score was tied at 20 a piece.
- The Pronghorns struggled to find their rhythm in the second frame of the matchup, allowing the Cougars to go on a run to put Mount Royal up double digits. With four minutes left in the quarter, Kymani Pollard broke down the Cougars' defence to earn a layup to start the scoring for the Horns. Horns freshman, Brady Baines followed suite finding his way to the hoop for the layup before coming up big with back-to-back shots from beyond the arc. Watts stretched the lead again for the Cougars, earning two more three-point buckets to put Mount Royal up 42-32 at half.
- In the second half, the Pronghorns three-point shooting kept them in the game, as Kymani Pollard, Shae Gibb and Kevin Ibula contributed from beyond the arc for the Pronghorns, but the Horns couldn't shut down Watts, as he cashed another successful three-point bucket for the visiting, Cougars maintain Mount Royal's double-digit lead.
- In the final minutes of the quarter, Jack-Henry Fox-Grey earned the three for the Horns but on the other end, Watts was relentless, earning the layup before completing the and one free throw. Lethbridge continued to battle, but couldn't narrow the gap as they entered the final frame of the game with MRU up 71-59 on the Horns.
- The Pronghorns dug deep in the final quarter of the matchup, as Shae Gibb and Sebestain Perez earned jumpers for the home team to start the quarter. Brady Baines contributed to the Pronghorns' run, chalking a deep three from the top of the arc over the hands of the Cougars' defender making it a four-point game. The Horns held the Cougars scoreless for nearly five minutes in the fourth quarter, forcing Cougars' Head Coach, Marc Dobell to call a timeout.
- With just over two minutes left in the battle, Kymani Pollard cashed another shot from three-point range for the Pronghorns making it a one-point game. The Pronghorns defence came up with a stop to get the ball back with less than a minute on the clock, but Kymani Pollard couldn't connect on the pass to Jack-Henry Fox-Grey with the Pronghorns down one. A Horns' foul sent Daniel Mulder to the line for MRU, where Mulder was successful on both attempts. With eight seconds left on the game clock, the Horns had one more shot from beyond the arc to tie game but a deep three from Kymani Pollard was just off target and the Cougars emerged with the 87-84 victory.
