Pronghorns defense can't hold off the Golden Bears, as the 'Horns fall 107-71 to the Golden Bears in their final game of the season on Saturday night at the Saville Centre.

Abdullah Shittu had a game-high 27 points, and was flanked by Brandon Meiklejohn who had 25 points including six threes. The 'Horns were paced by Jack-Henry Fox-Grey who had 22 of his own.

The game got off to a running start, with both squads using effective transition offence to build the score up early. And while the 'Horns shot a respectable 8/21 in the quarter, the Bears would ignite their second-ranked offence and hit four threes in the frame while shooting 75% from the field. Bears guard Meiklejohn paced all scorers with eight points, while Jeff Rodehutskors paced the visitors with four.

The Bear entered the second with a 28-17 lead, and it would grow in the frame. A 15-4 run midway through the second, spurred on by Meiklejohn who knocked down eight of those points, led the Bears to a 59-37 halftime lead.

'Horns head coach Jermaine Small made some adjustments at halftime that led to an effective third quarter. Jack-Henry Fox-Grey led the way for Lethbridge, potting 10 points. However, Abdullah Shittu absolutely exploded for the Bears to the tune of a quarter-high 15 points to keep the Bears in the lead at 81-62.

The fourth was all Alberta from the first whistle. Meiklejohn had six points in what was a 26-9 quarter win for the hosts.
