LETHBRIDGE - University of Lethbridge Pronghorn Athletics is proud to announce the 2022-2023 recipients of the prestigious President's Award – Tom Denness from Pronghorns Men's Soccer and Sofia Hoff from Pronghorns Women's Rugby.
 
The President's Award is given to the Pronghorn student-athlete with the highest academic standing at the University of Lethbridge, while competing full time in varsity sports and maintaining a minimum academic load of 18 credit hours. In the event multiple student-athletes receive the same GPA, the determining factor is credit hours.
 
Congratulations to Tom Denness and Sofia Hoff, who both achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, while completing a total of 30 credit hours between the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters in the Faculty of Education.
 
"Sofia and Tom's remarkable achievements within the Faculty of Education are something both Pronghorn Athletics and the University of Lethbridge are very proud of. These two represent everything it means to be a student-athlete at the University of Lethbridge, and we look forward to their continued growth as student-athletes and leaders in southern Alberta," says Executive Director of Pronghorn Athletics, Neil Langevin (BA/BEd '91, MEd '10).
 
Denness and Hoff have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, dedication and hard work throughout their academic and athletic journeys, and Pronghorn Athletics is honoured to celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional student-athletes.
