EDMONTON – The Pronghorns suffered a setback on Saturday afternoon as they fell 4-1 to the University of Alberta Pandas at Foote Field. Pandas, who struggled in their opening matches of the season, showcased a dominant offensive performance, scoring four goals, outshooting the Pronghorns 33-3. Despite the loss, Horns' Chiara Duenser managed to score her first goal as a Pronghorn, providing a bright spot for Lethbridge in an otherwise challenging game. The defeat moves Lethbridge to a 2-1-0 record, while the win boosts the Pandas to 1-2-0 and lifts them from the bottom of the division standings.

- The Pandas opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Tara Simonot converted a penalty kick to give Alberta a 1-0 lead.
- Seven minutes later, Makenna Van der Veen extended the Pandas' lead to 2-0 with a goal off a missed pass, beating Pronghorns' goalkeeper Heidi Andres.
- Alberta dominated the first half with a 16-1 shot advantage, including 10 shots on target. Andres made eight crucial saves to prevent a larger deficit.
- The Pandas continued their offensive push into the second half, with Emily Duxbury scoring just 30 seconds in to make it 3-0, thanks to a pass from Wanda Czebreszuk.
- In the 66th minute, Chiara Duenser scored a stunning long-range goal to cut the deficit to 3-1, showcasing the Pronghorns' resilience.
- However, Brooklyn St. Amand sealed the game for Alberta in the 78th minute with a goal assisted by Alia Temple, bringing the final score to 4-1.
