The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns basketball teams commenced their first road trip of the 2025-2026 Canada West conference season against the University of Regina Cougars. The men split the weekend with the Cougars, finishing with a 70-65 win on Friday, and falling 105-84 on Saturday. Fifth year veteran Kymani Pollard led the game sheets with a total of 48 points and 18 rebounds. The women fell 79-28 on Friday night and 101-48 on Saturday.  Third year stand out Courtney McKee led the scoring with a total of 24 points, bringing her overall total after six games to 81. On the defensive side, Raymond product Abby Stonehocker and third year forward Mhari Mattuli had nine and 10 rebounds apiece. 

The Horns are looking to regroup this week as they prepare to host the University of Manitoba Bisons on Friday and Saturday at the Co-op Centre for Sport & Wellness. The women play at 6:00pm Friday and 5:00pm Saturday, with the men to follow at 8:00pm Friday and 7:00pm Saturday. 

Horns swimming was also on the road this weekend at the Odlum Brown Colleges Cup hosted at the University of British Columbia. Four Pronghorn records were broken out west as the team faced off against Canada West clubs. The Horns are excited to keep their momentum going as they get ready to host the 2025 Canada West Swimming Championships, presented by Team Aquatic Supplies and Commercial Aquatic Supplies on November 28-30 at the Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre in the Co-op Centre for Sport & Wellness.
