Chris McKaig

Before coaching, Christopher was a semi-professional soccer player in his native Scotland and comes from a family of coaches and soccer players. Christopher is now a coach with over 14 years of experience at the university and professional levels, McKaig brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for player development and a deep commitment to building a unified, successful team.

McKaig's impressive coaching journey includes roles as the Lead Assistant Coach for the University of Calgary Dinos, where his strategic contributions led to dramatic improvements in defensive and set-piece performance. He has also held coaching positions with Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Alberta Provincial Teams and the University of Northern British Columbia, as well as being the Head Coach for Team Alberta at the 2019 Canada Summer Games, where his team claimed the gold medal.

Christopher holds a CONCACAF A License, CONCACAF B License, CSA Youth and Children's License as well as being a Coach Developer.
