Lethbridge – With back-to-back weekends where the
Pronghorn men’s hockey team (5-12-3 CW, 5-17-4 overall) have earned points and moved into the sixth and final playoff position, they will look to continue that trend in Edmonton versus the CIS fifth ranked Alberta Golden Bears (13-5-2 CW).
Alberta swept the ‘Horns in Lethbridge during first semester with close 3-1 and 2-1 victories and the ‘Horns will return to Edmonton during the final weekend of the conference schedule.
The puck drops both nights at Clare Drake Arena at 7:00pm and both games can be watched at

Horns move into playoff spot
With five points earned in their previous two weekend series the ‘Horns have leap frogged the Regina Cougars for the final playoff spot in the conference. The ‘Horns now lead the Cougars by three points after the Cougars were swept in Regina.
For the second consecutive week the ‘Horns needed a third period rally to earn a victory, scoring twice in the third on Friday night to force overtime and eventually earn the win in extra time.
Captain Dustin Moore continues to lead the ‘Horns offensively in his final year of eligibility with 12 goals and 9 assists. Moore is currently riding an 8 game point streak, where has registered 11 points during that span.
Ornery Bears
In a battle of the top two teams in the conference, the Golden Bears came out on the losing end of both games in Saskatoon to the Huskies. With the losses, the Bears fell out of a first place tie with Saskatchewan and are only two points ahead of Manitoba for second place.
The Bears have scored the second most goals in the conference with 65 in 20 games and are led by former CIS All-Rookie team member Sean Ringrose’s 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists), but are also one of the best defensive teams as well.
The Bears have only allowed 48 goals against, in large part to the play of fourth-year goaltender Real Cyr. Cyr leads the conference in goals-against-average and save percentage at 1.66 and 0.934 respectively.
