Baker picked up 16 points, while guard Logan Reiter scored 15 points and Alex Fletcher and Brandon Brine chipped in with 14 and 13 points respectively. Fletcher also recorded nine rebounds and six assists for all around solid performance. Andre Arruda was the high scorer for the Bisons with a game high 19 points but he was the lone Bison to reach double digits.
Throughout the entire game, the 'Horns were excellent in transition, leading to numerous easy baskets, while at the other end of the floor they were able to frustrate the Bisons attack with a two-three zone, which limited the Bisons to a 31% shooting night.
Following a closely contested opening quarter, the Pronghorns took command in the second quarter, building their lead to as many as 21 points and outscoring the Bisons 21-8 in the quarter. The 'Horns led 38-21 at the break.
While the two teams settled for a saw off in the third quarter, the damage was already done and the Bisons were never able to cut the deficit under 14 points at any point in the third. The 'Horns poured it on again in the final frame, building the lead to as many as 27 points in the fourth quarter.
While the 'Horns had their best performance defensively early into the Canada West season, they were also consistent at the offensive end, finishing the night 22 for 66 from the floor for a 43.9% shooting percentage. The 'Horns also won the battle on the glass, out rebounding the Bisons 40 to 33.
The 'Horns move to 3-1 on the season and will head out on the road for a pair of games next weekend in Winnipeg versus the Winnipeg Wesmen. The loss drops the Bisons to 1-3 and they will host the Calgary Dinos next weekend in Winnipeg. Both series will be streamed on
