Lethbridge – A week after the first two-game homestand of the season, where the team picked up their first two wins of the season, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team (2-8-0), look to keep momentum going this weekend, hosting the Regina Cougars (1-7-0) for a pair of games.
The 'Horns and Cougars are scheduled to clash at Nicholas Sheran Arena, Saturday night at 7:00pm and Sunday at 3:00pm. Both games will also be webcast on

After playing six of their first eight games on the road, the 'Horns earned full marks last weekend in their series sweep of the formerly CIS tenth-ranked Manitoba Bisons.
In those two wins, the 'Horns speciality teams shone, scoring three power play goals and one while shorthanded. With the three PP goals, the 'Horns power play moved up to sixth in the conference (13.2%).
While still ranked 7
th in Canada West in penalty killing efficiency, the Pronghorns penalty killing improved to 73.5%, and have been shorthanded the fewest times in the conference.
Still ranked last in goals against in the conference, allowing 49 goals in 10 games, the 'Horns only surrendered three goals last weekend and were back-stopped last weekend by Damien Ketlo, who was named the Canada West second star for the week ending November 2
nd.
Offensively, the 'Horns received goals from six different players last weekend and the team hopes Saturday night's two goal performance from freshman Sam Wilbur will serve as a breakout performance for him.
Freshman Brandon Clowes and Sophomore Mitch Maxwell are tied for the team lead in points with six, while Clowes is also tied with Brock Hirsche and defenceman Tim Campbell for the team's goal scoring lead with three.
For the Cougars, they too entered last weekend in search of their first win of the season and were able to get that elusive first victory last Saturday night with a 2-0 shutout of the UBC Thunderbirds.
The Cougars have scored the fewest goals in Canada West with 12 in 10 games and have been shut out three times in their nine losses.
Tyler Henry, Cody Fowlie and Tyler Penny have all scored twice to lead the team, while six other players have notched one goal so far this season.
In the crease, Lucas Gore and Mitch Kilgor have split time in goal with Gore holding better goals-against-average between the two at 2.90 but they have identical save percentages at 0.897%.
The 'Horns will remain home next Friday night, hosting the front half of a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars.
