Lethbridge – The University of Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team will put an end to a disappointing 2013-14 season this weekend in a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars.

The weekend set begins Friday night in Calgary at the Flames Community Arena and the final game of the conference schedule will go Saturday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena in Lethbridge. Puck drop for both nights is set for 7:00pm and both games will be streamed live on http://canadawest.tv.

Sitting at the bottom of the standings (2-21-3), the Pronghorns have lost eight games in a row, but did earn single points in overtime losses to the Calgary Dinos and Saskatchewan Huskies. The Horns have scored the fewest goals in the conference (42) and allowed the most (154).

While the 'Horns season will end Saturday night, the Mount Royal Cougars (11-13-2) are still battling for a playoff spot. Heading into the final two games of the season, the Cougars are tied with the Regina Cougars for fifth, but are only two points up on the UBC Thunderbirds for the final playoff spot in Canada West.

The Regina Cougars face the Saskatchewan Huskies, while the Thunderbirds will visit the Manitoba Bisons on the final weekend of the season.
Earlier this season, Mount Royal swept the 'Horns winning in Lethbridge 4-1 and taking a 6-5 shootout win at the Flames Community Arena in Calgary.
