Lethbridge – In the second to last weekend of the season, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team hosts the Manitoba Bisons for a pair of games at Nicholas Sheran Arena.

Puck drop for both Friday and Saturday night is set for 7:00pm and both games will be streamed live on http://canadawest.tv.

After back-to-back weekends of solid performances on Saturday nights in a pair of overtime losses against top teams in the conference, the 'Horns had a weekend they would like to forget about last weekend. The 'Horns were manhandled by the new CIS top ranked Alberta Golden Bears in a two lopsided losses.

The 'Horns have allowed the most goals in the conference (140) and have scored the fewest (37) and are also ranked at the bottom of the conference in power play and penalty killing.

Not surprisingly as the lowest scoring team in the conference, the 'Horns don't have anyone among the top-20 in conference scoring but freshman Ryon Moser leads the team with four goals and nine assists, while defenseman David McMullen is second with four goals and eight assists.

While the 'Horns are playing for pride and next season, this weekend is of the utmost importance for the Bisons as they battle for a playoff position. Entering the weekend, the Bisons are tied for fifth with the Mount Royal Cougars but are only two points ahead of the UBC Thunderbirds for the final playoff spot.

The Bisons have lost four in a row but have earned two points in overtime losses to the Calgary Dinos and Regina Cougars.

Aaron Lewadniuk leads the Bisons offensively with 11 goals and 14 assists and Joe Caligiuri has played the bulk of the games in the Bisons crease, making 20 appearances and sports a 3.24 goals-against-average and a 0.895 save percentage.

Earlier this season the Bisons swept the 'Horns shutting them out both nights, 3-0 and 7-0.

The 'Horns will conclude the season next weekend in a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars.
