Lethbridge – Entering the final two weeks of the Canada West schedule the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team will look to play spoiler, facing the Calgary Dinos this week in a home-and-home series, starting Friday night in Lethbridge.
Puck drops Friday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena at 7:00pm with the back half of the home-and-home set going Saturday night in Calgary at Father David Bauer Arena at 6:00pm. Friday night's game will also be streamed live on

While the Dinos cannot catch the Alberta Golden Bears for first place, they are in a dogfight with the Mount Royal Cougars for second place and a first round bye. Head-to-head last weekend in the cross town rivalry, the Cougars took three points from the Dinos with a 2-0 win and a 5-4 shootout loss.
The 'Horns were officially eliminated from post-season contention with their two losses last weekend to the CIS top ranked Alberta Golden Bears.
Not surprisingly, being the lowest scoring team, the 'Horns do not have anyone in the top 20 in conference scoring. Ryon Moser leads the team with four goals and 10 assists, which places him 29
th in the conference. Brandon Clowes continues to lead the 'Horns in goals with eight.
Conversely, the Dinos who are tied for the second most goals scored in Canada West (74), have three players in the top 20. Former Medicine Hat Tiger Elgin Pearce leads the Dinos with 15 goals and 11 assists, good enough for fourth on the conference scoring list. Rearguard Kodie Curran is second on the team and second among all Canada West defencemen with 18 points.
After splitting the first two weekends of 2015 with Warren Shymko, Damien Ketlo started both games versus the Bears and made 86 saves combined in the two games.
For the Dinos, they have a formidable tandem in the crease. Kris Lazaruk leads the conference in goals against average (1.79), save percentage (0.933) and shutouts (3). Jacob DeSerres, who was named CIS goalie of the year last year, has a 2.32 goals-against-average and a 0.914 save percentage in 13 appearances.
The Pronghorn men's hockey program has started a head shave fundraiser campaign in support of teammate Dylan Tait and athletic therapist and equipment manager Brennan Mahon, who were both diagnosed with testicular cancer this year.
On January 30th, 2015 the Men's Hockey Team will be shaving their heads in support of their brothers, Dylan and Brennan in their fight. All donations received will be put towards testicular cancer research and awareness. Donations can be made online at:
