Lethbridge – For the second week in a row the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team heads out on the road, this time traveling to Winnipeg to take on the Manitoba Bisons.

The 'Horns and Bisons will face off Friday night at 7:00pm and Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.

In their first action of the New Year last weekend, the 'Horns (4-16-0) earned a weekend split in Saskatoon, falling 5-3 before rebounding with a 5-2 victory and earned their first road win of the season.

Through 20 games, the 'Horns have scored the second fewest goals in the conference with only Regina scoring fewer. The 'Horns have scored 45 goals, while allowing a conference high 90 goals against.

Ryon Moser tops the Pronghorn scoring list with four goals and nine assists so far this season, while last week's Canada West second star Brandon Clowes leads the 'Horns in goals with eight.

Between the pipes, Damien Ketlo and Warren Shymko split the crease duties last weekend with Shymko picking up his first win as a Pronghorn last Saturday night. Ketlo sports a 4.12 goals-against-average and a 0.900 save percentage.

The Bisons (9-11-0), also coming off a weekend split to open the New Year, currently lay claim to the final playoff spot in Canada West, five points ahead of the Regina Cougars and 10 points ahead of the Pronghorns, but are also only a single point out of fourth place.

Last weekend at home, the Bisons split with the UBC Thunderbirds, winning the opening game 3-1 before losing a wild affair Saturday night, 8-6.
Offensively, former Kamloops Blazer and Red Deer Rebel Jordan DePape leads the charge for the Bisons with 19 points in 20 games, while Shaquille Merasty sits second with 16 points.

In the Crease, sophomore Deven Dubyk has carried the bulk of the load for the Bisons this season, seeing action in 18 of his team's 20 games. Dubyk has been in the net for all nine of the Bison victories and holds a goals against average of 2.32.

The 'Horns hosted the Bisons earlier this season and earned their first wins, beating the Bisons by 3-1 and 5-2 scores.

For the first time in 2015, the 'Horns will hit home ice next weekend, hosting the defending University Cup Champion Alberta Golden Bears.
