Lethbridge – The University of Lethbridge Pronghorn women's rugby team returns to action this weekend, traveling to Calgary for the final regular season game of the season and faces the undefeated and conference leading Calgary Dinos.

Based on the bonus point they received for scoring four tries versus the Victoria Vikes, the 'Horns (0-2-1) hold a one-point lead over the UBC Thunderbirds for the final playoff spot. The T-Birds face the Alberta Pandas this Friday in their final game.

Frederique Tremblay and Nicole Ronsky lead the 'Horns in tries with two a piece, while Sarah Gordon has hit five converts and scored one try.

The Dinos (3-0), who lost to the Alberta Pandas in the Canada West final last season, have run through the conference thus far, scoring at least four tries in each of their three games and have averaged 30 points per game.

Elysa Sandron leads the conference in scoring with 36 points and is tied with teammate Natasha Loucks and two others for the lead in tries with four. Sandron is also second in Canada West in converts with eight.

The Canada West Championship will be hosted by the Alberta Pandas October 23 -25 in Edmonton. The semi-finals will go Friday October 23, with the bronze medal and Championship game being played two days later.
