Lethbridge – After opening the season at home last weekend the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team heads out on the road this weekend, travelling to Saskatoon to face the defending Canada West Champion Saskatchewan Huskies.

Puck drop for both games at Rutherford Arena in Saskatoon is set for 7:00pm and both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv.

In their season opening weekend, the 'Horns earned a weekend split with a tight 2-1 loss and a 4-2 win over the Regina Cougars.

Freshman goaltender Garret Hughson started both games for the Pronghorns and kick-off his career with a pair of strong performances. Through his first two games, Hughson has a solid 2.02 goals-against-average and a spectacular 0.947 save percentage.

Newly named assistant captain Dalton Sward started his second season with the Pronghorns with a goal in each game, while new captain Tim Campbell picked up a goal and an assist.

Another freshman Cory Millette also got his name on the scoresheet in his first Canada West games, picking up an assist in each game.

The defending Canada West Champion Huskies started the season a week earlier than the 'Horns, sweeping the UBC Thunderbirds two weeks ago, before taking three of four points for the Alberta Golden Bears last week.

Reigning CIS goalie of the year, Jordan Cooke has picked up where he left off last season and has started all four games for the Huskies this season. His 1.46 goals-against-average sits him third in the conference. He also sports a 0.947 save percentage with one shut out.

While they have played two more games than any other team in the conference, Kohl Bauml and Logan McVeigh are tied for the early lead in conference scoring. Bauml has three goals and three assists, while McVeigh comes in with two goals and four assists in four games.

The 'Horns will face the Calgary Dinos next weekend in a home-and-home series, starting Friday night in Lethbridge.
