Lethbridge – Returning home after a successful road trip, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team (2-1-1) hosts the front half of a home-and-home series with southern Alberta rival Calgary Dinos (2-2-0).
The weekend series kicks off Friday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena, puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm. The back half of the home-and-home will go Saturday night in Calgary at Father David Bauer Arena, opening face is scheduled for 6:00pm. Both games will also be streamed live on

On the road last weekend, the 'Horns took three of four points from the third ranked Saskatchewan Huskies. After dropping the opening game 3-2 in overtime, the 'Horns rallied with four third period goals to beat the Huskies 5-3.
Through four games this season, the 'Horns have scored 12 goals and allowed 10 against, while on specialty teams' the 'Horns have the fourth ranked penalty killing (88%) and the seventh ranked power play (10.5%).
Freshman goaltender Garret Hughson has started his Pronghorn career on the right foot, starting all four games and sports a 2.48 goals-against-average and a 0.930 save percentage.
After leading the 'Horns in goals a season ago, fifth-year defenseman Tim Campbell is tied for the team lead in goals with Justin Valentino with three goals. Campbell also has an assist to lead the team in points with four.
The start to the 2016-17 season has been an up-and-down affair for the Dinos. After opening the season with consecutive 1-0 wins over the UBC Thunderbirds, the Dinos were swept by cross-town rival Mount Royal last weekend. The Cougars downed the Dinos 5-2 and 4-3.
Through the first two weekends, the Dinos have allowed the second fewest goals against (9) but have scored the fewest goals in the conference (7).
Steve Sanford has played in three of the first four games for the Dinos and opened the season with back-to-back shutouts. He allowed all five goals against in the Dinos 5-2 loss to the Cougars.
Dylan Walchuck and Drydn Dow lead the Dinos offensively with three points each. Walchuck is the lone Dino with more than one goal, with two.
Saturday's game with mark the first of five straight on the road for the 'Horns, as the team will travel to Vancouver and Winnipeg the next two weeks. The 'Horns next home game will be November 18
th versus the Mount Royal Cougars.
