Lethbridge – With only three weeks left in the opening semester of action, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's basketball team heads out on the road for a pair of games, traveling to Winnipeg to face the Winnipeg Wesmen.
Tip-off for the weekend set is scheduled for Friday night at 8:00pm CST and Saturday at 7:00pm CST. Both games will be streamed live on

Statistically speaking, not much separates the 'Horns and Wesmen, both are 3-1, each splitting their series a week ago. Offensively the 'Horns sit in fifth spot, three places ahead of the Wesmen averaging 81 points per game. The Wesmen have averaged 80.5 points per game. The 'Horns are shooting 45.1% from the field, while Winnipeg is sitting at 44.9%. The Wesmen do hold the advantage behind the arc, hitting at 38.7% compared to the 'Horns 37.1%.
Defensively, the Wesmen are a hair better than the Pronghorns, allowing 75.5 points per game compared to the 'Horns at 75.8 points per game.
Individually, the 'Horns have relied on a balanced attack this season with four starters averaging double-digits through four games. English guard Elliott Sentance is averaging 18.8 points per game through his first four games as a Pronghorn. Dejon Burdeaux has picked up where he left off from last season, leading the conference in steals with five per game and is averaging 17 points as well.
Third-year Pronghorns Zac Overwater and Mike Pierzchala are chipping in with 14.8 and 12.5 points per game respectively and have been important pieces to the 'Horns success. Pierzchala is also averaging nine rebounds a night and Overwater leads the 'Horns in shooting percentage at 54.3%.
For the Wesmen, two players account for the bulk of their scoring with Sean Tarver leading the way with 15.7 points per game, while Denzel Lynch-Blair is sitting at 15.5 points.
Last season, the 'Horns and Wesmen split the season series in Lethbridge. The 'Horns won game one 78-52 before dropping a 79-70 decision.
The 'Horns will play their final home game of the first semester next Thursday night, hosting the Calgary Dinos in the front half of a home-and-home series.
