Lethbridge – The Lethbridge Pronghorn men's basketball team returns to home court this Thursday night but for only one night as the 'Horns take on the defending Canada West Champion and U Sports third ranked Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series.
Opening game of the two game set goes Thursday night at the 1
st Choice Savings Centre, tip-off is slated for 8:00pm. The back half of the home-and-home series is set for Saturday night at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium in Calgary at 7:00pm. Both games will be streamed live on

In their last action, the 'Horns (4-2) returned from Winnipeg with a weekend split with the Winnipeg Wesmen. The 'Horns dropped the weekend opener 73-58 before rebounding for a come from behind 78-75 victory.
Through three weeks of conference action, the 'Horns sit in a tie for third place in the conference and enter this weekend with the 10
th ranked offence, scoring 76.7 points per night. Defensively, the 'Horns sit in seventh spot, allowing 75.2 points per.
New comer Elliott Sentance continues to impress in his first season with the Pronghorns, leading the team in scoring with 20.2 points per night, which also has him sitting third on the Canada West scoring list. Dejon Burdeaux and Zac Overwater are both chipping in with 15.2 points per game to sit second on the 'Horns. Burdeaux continues to lead Canada West in steals with 4.2 per game.
Coming off a bye week, the defending Canada West Champion Dinos (3-1) return to action riding a three game winning streak and have been dominant offensively in their last three games, scoring over 100 points in two of their three wins. They are ranked tops in Canada West offensively, averaging 95.3 points per game.
The top ranked offence also sports the top ranked scorer in Canada West with Thomas Cooper leading the conference with 27.5 points per game. Similar to the 'Horns, the Dinos have three other players averaging double digit points per game thus far, Mambi Diawara (15.3), David Kapinga (12.3) and Lars Schlueter (10.8).
Last season, on their run to their fifth conference title, the Dinos swept the 'Horns in Calgary, beating the 'Horns 101-91 and 88-84.
The 'Horns will wrap up the first semester of conference action next weekend, travelling to Langley, British Columbia to take on the Trinity Western Spartans.
