Lethbridge – For the second week in a row, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's hockey team is on the road, but this time the team travels east, heading to Winnipeg to take on the Manitoba Bisons.
The 'Horns and Bisons will hit the ice in Winnipeg Friday night at 7:00pm and 1:00pm Saturday afternoon. Both games will also be streamed live on

Last weekend in Vancouver, the 'Horns dropped both games to the UBC Thunderbirds but earned a point in each game as both losses were in overtime. The overtime losses moved the 'Horns record to 2-3-3 on the season and dropped the team to seventh in the conference but are only a single point behind the Thunderbirds and Bisons for fifth spot. The 'Horns are also only three points out of third place.
Through four weeks of conference action, the 'Horns have allowed 24 goals against, which ranks fifth in Canada West but have scored the third fewest goals-for with 21.
After killing off all 11 UBC power plays a week ago, the 'Horns now hold the second best penalty killing ranking in Canada West, operating at 88.9% efficiency.
Captain Tim Campbell leads the 'Horns in scoring, averaging a point a game thus far with three goals and five assists. Justin Valentino leads the squad in goals with five.
The Bisons enter the weekend sitting exactly at a .500 winning percentage with a record of 4-4-0 and have split their last two weekend sets. In their last action, split their road series with the Calgary Dinos, losing their first game before rebounding with a 3-2 win.
In the first eight games, the Bisons have scored 24 goals-for, while allowing 23 against, but enter the weekend with the second worst penalty kill numbers in Canada West (74.2%).
Individually, the Bisons have two players averaging a point per game this season, with Justin Auger (7G, 1A) and Shaq Merasty (2G, 6A) tied for the team's scoring lead.
Next up for the Pronghorns will be a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars, starting next Friday night in Lethbridge. Game two will go Saturday night in Calgary at the Flames Community Arena.
