QUOTES:
Pronghorns coach Mike Hansen (5 th year):
On the sweep in Kamloops: "I thought Coach Clark did a great job preparing his guys. They controlled the tempo and flow of the game all right now. We are lucky to come away with a victory right now. We just have to be better and get better. I thought we took a step back tonight. We continue to have defensive break downs. We get one or two guys playing great defense while the others aren't. We are getting into the tough part of our schedule and you can't win on the road if you aren't playing good D."
TRU Head Coach Scott Clark:
On the Contest: "There was some good and some bad. I think we are getting better and we did some good things. They are a good basketball team. We have to keep doing the right things and the results will come. Its sound like a cliché but it is more of a process than an outcome at this point. I thought in the second half we played the way we wanted to play. We have to be aware of a couple of situations defensively where we didn't do a good enough job but we looked after the basketball a bit better."
On Tyus De Vries best night in Canada West: "Tyus is a good basketball player. He is a young guy with a lot of potential. He made some shots. But he did some other things defensively out there in terms of matching up and getting rebounds, running the court and handling the basketball. I am happy for him he is working hard. I think he has demonstrated the ability to do things, that's why he is showing confidence."
UP NEXT:
The Pronghorns will remain on the road next week (Nov 24-25) as they pay a visit to Regina to play the Cougars.
