Lethbridge – Following a successful inaugural Canada West sevens series a year ago, the Lethbridge Pronghorns and the rest of the Canada West rugby schools will meet in Edmonton to start the second year of Canada West women's rugby sevens.
The University of the Fraser Valley and Victoria will host the other two stops during this year's series, where an overall champion will be crowned in Victoria February 25
th.
Last year, the Pronghorns finished fifth in the series standings and will look to improve on that mark this year.
This weekend, the Pronghorns will opening Saturday morning's action versus the host Alberta Pandas at 10:25am, followed by games versus the Victoria Vikes and Fraser Valley Cascades at 12:30pm and 3:30pm respectively.
Sunday's action for the Pronghorns will begin with a match-up with defending Canada West Champion Calgary Dinos at 10:25am, before concluding the round robin play at 12:30pm. Following round robin play, standings will determine the placing game match-ups.

To determine the overall Champion of the series, the following point system will be used for each tournament:

Winner – 10
Runner up – 8
Third place – 6
Fourth place – 4
Fifth place – 2
Sixth place - 1
The second stop of the sevens series will be hosted by Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, February 10
th and 11
th.
