"We're excited to play in front of our home crowd, the girls have really responded well playing in front of our loud and supportive crowd," said Pronghorn head coach Neil Langevin. "We're playing for a bit of pride and want to end the season on a high."
"Calgary has been the class of the conference and we know it won't be an easy task. We have done our homework and improved some defensive aspects and will look to build off that."
"It'll be bitter sweet with Fisayo, Eden and Jill playing their last games as Pronghorns and I know the other players will respond by playing for them."
Heading into the final conference game, the Pronghorns (1-4) sit in fifth place and with the Alberta Pandas, two points ahead of the Pronghorns, set to host the Canada West tournament, the Pronghorns are unable to qualify for the championship tournament.
In their last action the Pronghorns dropped a 41-17 decision to the Calgary Dinos. The Pronghorns lone win this season came at home versus the Alberta Pandas, beating the Pandas 38-32.
Caitlin Sears and Abby Duguid lead the Pronghorns in scoring with 15 points. Sears is tied for second in the conference in converts with five and has also scored one try, while Duguid leads the Pronghorns with five tries.
The Dinos, the two-time defending Canada West Champions, sit atop the Canada West standings again this season with a perfect 5-0 record.
Taejah Thompson, who was just named the U SPORTS Athlete of the Month, leads the Dinos and Canada West in scoring with 40 points on eight tries, which included a four try performance versus the Victoria Vikes.
Dinos fifth-year fullback Elysa Sandron sits second on the Dinos scoring list with 21 points and leads Canada West in converts with eight.
