LETHBRIDGE – Heading into the final two games of the conference schedule, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's rugby team faces a stiff test, playing the defending Canada West Champion Calgary Dinos in both, beginning this Sunday in Calgary.
The Pronghorns and Dinos will hit the turf at McMahon Stadium Sunday at 11:45 AM. The game will be streamed live on

In their last action, the Pronghorn (1-3) held on for a thrilling 38-32 win over the Alberta Pandas and kept their playoff hopes alive. The Pronghorns are currently tied for the final post-season spot with the Victoria Vikes and the Vikes will play UBC and Alberta in their final two games.
On the strength of four converts, Caitlin Sears leads the Pronghorns in scoring with 13 points. While Abby Duguid, Hailey Driscoll and Sydney De La Mare are all tied for the team lead in tries with two apiece.
While games have been closer than recent years, the Calgary Dinos (3-0) sit atop the Canada West standings again this season with wins over Alberta, UBC and Victoria. Calgary's win over Alberta was only by a single point and the Dinos needed 24 unanswered points in the second half to upend the Thunderbirds 36-21.
Dino Taejah Thompson leads all Canada West scorers this season with 35 points, including a four try performance versus the Victoria Vikes. Elysa Sandron sits second with seven converts for 14 points.
The Pronghorns and Dinos will meet again on Thursday, October 11 at the University Community Stadium in Lethbridge.
