LETHBRIDGE – Following a third consecutive weekend split, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's basketball team concludes the first semester of conference action with a dangerous match up, facing the 10
th ranked UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver.
The Pronghorns and T-Birds will clash at the War Memorial Gym Friday and Saturday night, tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m Pacific Time respectively. Catch all the action on

These two teams didn't face each other last season but two years ago in Lethbridge, the Pronghorns and T-Birds split their weekend series.
A look at the teams
With a split in Abbotsford with Fraser Valley Cascades last weekend, the Pronghorns moved to 3-5 on the season. The Pronghorns clipped the Cascades 73-72, before dropping a 102-81 decision.
Statistically, the Pronghorns sit fifth in Canada West in team offence averaging 86.1 points per and sit 14
th defensively, allowing 92.5 points per game.
Through the first eight conference games, the Pronghorns sit second in the conference in free throws made (15.9) and steals (9.8) per game and rank fifth in three point efficiency (33.5%).
Chad Oviatt leads the Pronghorns in scoring with 15.8 points per game, while guard Colton Gibb sits second with 13.6 point a night.
Senior guard Kyle Peterson sits third in the conference in assists per game averaging 5.4.
The T-Birds (6-2) manhandled the UBCO Heat last weekend to run their win streak to four games. UBC beat the Heat 112-57 and 107-77.
Ranked second offensively and third defensively, the Thunderbirds present a tough challenge at both ends of the floor. UBC is averaging 86.6 points per game and only allowing 72.7 points against.
The Thunderbirds sit first in the conference in assists (20.3) and turnovers (12.6) per game and are also ranked among the best shooting teams – second in field goal percentage (47%) and three point shooting percentage (36.2%).
Through the first four weekends of the conference schedule, the Thunderbirds have relied heavily on their starting five, who account for over 77% of the team's offensive output. Jadon Cohee leads UBC with 17.8 points per game and leads the conference in assists at 5.8. Post Grant Shepard sits second in team scoring with 16.1 points per game.
