CALGARY– Continuing to find a way to rack up wins, the Lethbridge Pronghorns recorded their ninth consecutive win and put an end to a long drought versus the Calgary Dinos with a close with a 70-67 win Friday night in Calgary.
The win snaps a more than decade long run of losses versus the Dinos with the last win over the Dinos coming October 30, 2010.
With the win the Pronghorns improve to 9-4 on the season and now hold a two-game lead over the Dinos for the second spot in the Central Division. The Dinos record slips to 7-6.
Pronghorn guard Jessica Haenni led all scorers with 21 points, while Haily Weaver chipped in with 12 points and Millay Johnson came off the bench to score 10 points.
For the Dinos, first-year guard Annacy Palmer paced the home side with 17 points and Veronkia Lavergne scored 10 points in the loss.

The Pronghorns came out hard in the first half as they led by six after 10 minutes of action. The visitors built upon that advantage, pulling ahead by as many as 18 into the late stages of the third quarter.
The Dinos flipped the switch in the final two minutes of the third, going on a 11-0 run to close the game with in seven points. The roll continued into the fourth with the Dinos pulling within one score on multiple occasions.
With only three seconds remaining Dinos guard Annacy Palmer had a chance to tie the game from beyond the arc but left it just short.
